Creative Kids Outreach

Dinosaur Days was such a blast today!  We had a dinosaur picnic and played our dino-sized board game.  Martin made it to the end first!  Yea!  We read "Danny and the Dinosaur Go to Camp" and had a visit from a reporter from the Fulton Sun.  We colored in our ABC Dinosaur book and chose our favorite dinosaur.  It was a fun time!

Today's Fairy Festival was so much fun!  We had a fairy picnic and played our fairy board game.  We also made a wooden fairy and dressed her in glitter and lace.  A reporter from the Fulton Sun came and joined us for the hour.  What a great time!

Our first free Dinosaur Days program included a fun dinosaur picnic with "dino bones," "dino rocks," and "dino scales."  While nibbling on this nutritious treat, we colored a dinosaur alphabet book that included the pictures and names of 26 dinosaurs and how to pronounce them.  After our picnic, we played a big dinosaur board game.  What a great time!

This evening was our first Imagination Station free program for older kids.  We painted with acrylics on canvas after learning which brushes worked best for different looks.  We also discussed color blending.  After our painting was finished and we were waiting for it to dry completely, we wrote short poems to accompany our works of art.  It was a very creative night!

Our first free Creative Kids Outreach program was today!  It was a Fairy Festival and was well-received by the young girls who attended.  We colored fairy pictures and enjoyed a fairy picnic.  We chose fairy names for ourselves and discussed fairies at length.  We even had a fairy photo shoot!
